Calycanthus floridus (true spicebush) – 25 seeds The true spicebush is common in southeastern North America and can be found from Pennsylvania to the southeastern United States.
Please keep seeds and packaging material away from small children (risk of choking and suffocation).
The seeds come from a collection from November 2024 in southern Italy.
To germinate the seeds, it is recommended that they are first placed in a water bath for 24 hours.
They are then placed in a moist (not wet, not dripping) mixture of soil and sand.
It is best to refrigerate them for 40-50 days, they should also be placed outside for a few/different (!) nights (in frosty weather).
It is advisable to keep checking whether they germinate. After the procedure: In the spring, put in plant pots and grow in a sunny place. However, be careful: young seedlings need slightly shady places in midsummer.
