This climate warming resistant species is an endemic species originally found only in Mexico and is very difficult to organize. The seedlings sold here are about 5 cm tall.
Quercus hypoxantha is very rare. It is originally found only in three Mexican regions (between 2000 and 3000 meters above sea level).
The plant is currently about 5 cm high, based on acorns from a collection from October 2023 (arboretum in southern France).
