Description
Quercus ithaburensis (mountain tabor oak). The leaf is 6 to 12 cm long and has several large pointed teeth on the leaf edge. The acorns are strikingly large at up to 5 cm. This oak is found in southern Europe, as well as in Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.
The acorns come from an October 2024 collection from the Greek island of Kea. The acorns are shipped in a bag with slightly moistened vermiculite. It is recommended to store them in soil/sand in the refrigerator for about 4 weeks before planting.
Please keep acorns away from small children (risk of ingestion).
